Balance

Gail spends most of her day practicing taking steps. She can get a few in a row before she loses her balance, and she can save herself if she gets off balance more often. She also likes to hold things and stand up; which proved detrimental to my face last week. We were at the park, and grasping a sippy cup in one hand and a snack cup in the other she attempted to stand on a hill. Needless to say, she plunged toward me and I got the snack cup in the face!
She has decided that she wants her clothes off, but thankfully can't do it herself yet! She will grab at her pants and sign "please", or her shirt, or even her diaper. She doesn't usually get her way, but we were so close to bath time last night that I left her pants off after changing her diaper. She dragged them all around with her, and tried to give them to me repeatedly.

And then she fell down, as usual! She has learned to love music, and has discovered how to ask me for it. She says "la la" whether we are at home or in the car. She doesn't understand how cd's work, of course, and after each song ends she says "la la" loudly, as if I have taken away her music and need to give it back.
