We drove further around the loop, picked a trail, loaded Gail in her backpack carrier, and headed out.
She did really well for quite awhile, and then started fussing coming down. And by fussing, I really meaning crying. So much so that hikers going the other way made sure it was the baby they had heard crying and not someone else. She perked up a little when we stopped for some photo ops on the way down.
However, the happiness didn't last long as it was past nap time and her head simply got too heavy to hold up.
