Happy First Birthday, Gail!

While today is Gail's birthday, we celebrated early with the family last week. This post is a bit long, but I wanted to let you all be a part of the celebration, so there are a bunch of pictures (but not nearly all that we took!)  With Grandpa and Grandma Shapiro, we did cupcakes:




Gail's first interaction with a cupcake was interesting: She was a little confused at first, since she usually just gets bite-sized food on her tray.




She soon discovered that she loved her treat, and really got into it:





However, when the chocolate was gone, it was a disaster.








She recovered fairly quickly, thankfully, and we promptly hid the rest of the cupcakes.
