Mount Ranier Day 1

Last Friday was Gail's last day of school, and to start off summer vacation, we took a weekend trip down to Mount Ranier. It was about a 3 hour drive, and we arrived at the cottage we had rented in time to have dinner at the outdoor picnic table.




Matthias got a fire going in the fire pit and we enjoyed smores. The girls were so excited because they remembered having smores last summer too. I'm pretty sure Matthias ended up toasting their marshmallows because they have no patience with the process.

Xander is unsure about this whole thing...



Xdnder ended up liking the marshmallow and chocolate and leaving the graham crackers. In fact, when we did smores again on Saturday night, he swiped some chocolate from the table while we were busy and got really angry when we took it back and put it on a graham cracker.



We let the girls stay up a little bit late Friday night and played a game we brought with us.
