Rachel's surgery was really easy. I got to be with her as long as she was awake, and then I was back with her before she really woke up. As a result, she was quite mad at me in recovery and refused to talk to me, eat or drink. They let us go home anyway, as long as she would drink something at home. As soon as she was home and in Daddy's lap, she drank and ate like she was making up for the whole morning at once. She has dissolvable stitches, and was allowed to take a bath that very night. We are just supposed to make sure she doesn't really rough house for a couple of days. They only took off a little bit of hair, and saved it in a baggy for me!
Now, for Gail's birthday. Here she is on her actual birthday, about to open presents.

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Patty flew in from Hawaii that morning, and stayed for two days and one night. It was so good to see them, and the girls kept them busy!!!

We gave Gail a balance bike (they make little bikes now that have no pedals - the kids just walk/run and they learn how to balance with no training wheels) and a helmet for her birthday. She goes back and forth between that and her old trike, which she is finally getting really good at.
