Construction and Celebration

I have a lot of pictures to share, so feel free to scroll through quickly if you want! First of all, Matthias has been hard at work around here. His deck is getting really close to being done! On Tuesday night, a friend came over and helped him put up the railings.

Now there's just a small section where he is going to build in benches, and we're waiting for the brackets to come tomorrow (Saturday). He's also had other projects, as our tenants moved out last week. He had to trim down a new front door, since the old one appeared to have been broken at some point, and it's a funny size. Gail ate her lunch on the 4th out in the garage watching Dada "bvvv", as she puts it.

That afternoon, they played in a sprinkler in the front lawn.

She was interested at first, but then inevitably her face got wet, and here's how she feels about that:

She was happier when we brought out a blanket to play on, so we just enjoyed being outside. We rounded the day off with some sparklers, which she loved!
