Dress-Ups and Legos

We've recently done a couple movie nights with the girls, making a big deal out of popcorn and a Disney movie. They love it, and have been dressing up like princesses a little more. Here are my little Cinderella and Belle.

Here's a little back story on a big accomplishment: Gail wanted to have the Lego Frozen Elsa's Ice Castle. We made a decision a while back that we'd match money for Lego purchases, but it still would have taken her months just saving the quarters we give her for her piggy bank every Saturday. So we came up with a new deal: if she cleared all the dishes at a meal, rinsed them and put them in the dishwasher, she'd get a quarter for that meal. She actually followed through and did the dishes most of the time, and after about three weeks we went and made her big purchase this last Friday night. Starting that evening, she and Matthias had the whole thing built before lunch Saturday. She did almost everything herself, and has been playing with it nonstop since.

Yes, she was playing with it during rest time and fell asleep next to it on the floor - it really wore her out focusing enough to build that whole thing!

And Rachel needed to play Legos just like Gail. I know her jammies aren't very girly, but her favorite things right now are monsters and dinosaurs, so I've done some shopping in the boy section!
