I can't remember what I've told you all, so forgive me if some of the following information is repeated.
Gail has decided that she will no longer eat mashed food. She would like whatever the grownups are having, and she almost always ends up eating a fair amount (except for spicy food, of course). She has recently enjoyed ham, chili, pancakes, and all kinds of pastas and casseroles.

Gail has also started turning from her back to her tummy regularly, but just over night in her crib. We now find her on her tummy every morning, but during naps she stays on her back.
Last Wednesday a therapist from a local school district came to do an assessment on Gail, and she is doing just fine in everything except for gross motor skills (crawling, etc). While their recommendation is to do "early intervention" with her, everyone else I've talked to seems to agree that it's okay that she doesn't want to crawl yet, and she'll be just fine if we keep encouraging her as we already do. Thus, we are not going to start her in their program.
Gail really enjoyed her first Christmas, although it was overwhelming at times and she never got the hang of unwrapping the presents. We finally got all her gifts open by dinner (yes, it really took that long... she would get stressed out so we'd quit and start again later), and she did like having lots of new toys.
